Poster Winner – Amplifier x Women’s March: Power to the Polls

Overview
As part of Amplifier’s 2021–2022 public art campaign with the CDC Foundation and Facebook Open Arts, I was selected as 1 of 12 artists to create a mural encouraging COVID-19 vaccination in communities with lower uptake.

My Mural
Titled Protect Your Familia: Juntos We Can Stop COVID-19, the mural features a Latino family making tamales together while wearing masks — a cultural symbol of gathering and care. The artwork served as a friendly reminder that protecting one another through vaccination is the key to safely celebrating traditions and spending time with loved ones.

Goal & Impact
The mural was designed to motivate Latino communities to get vaccinated by connecting public health messaging with cultural values of family, food, and togetherness. Each mural installation included a QR code directing viewers to Facebook’s COVID-19 Information Center for accessible resources.
