CraftHER Market Fall ’17
October 1, 2017 @ 11:00 am - 5:00 pmFREE
At BossBabes ATX, we’re inspired by the magic that happens when people meet. Our productions are centered around supporting and sustaining visibility for women-owned businesses, women in the arts and women in the Austin activist community. CraftHER Market Fall ’17 is no different. It’s been inspired by a few of our favorite things: pop-up spaces, traditional marketplaces and the people who organize others to gather. This Fall, our craftHER panels will explore concepts of community, entrepreneurship and maker culture-through the lens of resistance. Resistance to giving up. Resistance to giving in. And resistance to accepting the status quo. With stage design by Party at the Moontower – Event Furniture Rentals , f Alexandre Valenti in partnership with the LINE Hotel, the stage will also serve as a manifestation of our ethos.
Join us at the market for five free chats, each discussion touching on the magic of making something (be it goods, a lifestyle, a community, a career) for yourself. At 11:30 AM on Oct. 1, come out for On Making Things for the Revolution, featuring a chat between #bossbabesATX co-founder Leslie Lozano, Keep Austin Queer founder Laney Gilbert and illustrator Yocelyn Riojas
